I’ve written a couple of posts since I started Short, Round, and Fast that have asked my readers for song suggestions to add to my running playlist. Each of these posts resulted in adding a few songs to my playlist; however, I discovered this morning, that I have been asking the wrong question when it came to adding new music to my workout playlists. This morning, I came across a post in one of my favorite Facebook running groups (RunJunkees) asking members what their favorite guilty pleasure song to work out to was. I checked in periodically throughout the day to see the answers and I didn’t know whether to be thrilled or mortified. I LOVE nearly every guilty pleasure song listed and have run to most of them at some time or another over the last 20 years. All the way back when the Sony Walkman below was state of the art. I am so glad that I don’t have to carry one of these on my 20 milers anymore.

My musical tastes may be stuck in the past but I am excited to create the playlist below for my iPhone and iPod. I am affectionately labeling it “The Greatest Guilty Pleasure Playlist Of All Time!” I want to give a HUGE thank you to all of the RunJunkee’s that contributed to this list. Also, if you feel that the RunJunkee’s and I missed one of your favorite guilty pleasures, feel free to let us know in the comments. There is plenty of room on my new iPhone to accommodate all of the suggested songs. The more the merrier! Now on with the list!
